Sky Up Academy

Through Engage Works’ long-standing partnership with Sky, I worked across multiple immersive experiences, from creative vision and concept development through to delivery.

A key initiative was Sky Up Academy Studios, an ambitious educational experience designed to inspire young minds and introduce students to the world of broadcasting, storytelling and digital media.

Working closely with Sky, I helped shape these immersive studios across multiple locations in the UK and Europe, transforming ambitious concepts into engaging, technology-driven environments.

Combining state-of-the-art green screens, interactive media walls, immersive chambers and bespoke editing suites, we created dynamic spaces where students could step into the roles of broadcasters, producers and storytellers, experiencing the creative process firsthand.

From initial strategy and concept design through to production and final delivery, the aim was to ensure every element balanced creative innovation, intuitive interaction and meaningful educational impact.

As part of Sky’s wider commitment to making creative opportunities accessible to young people, the not-for-profit initiative aims to inspire and empower over one million students.

Sky Up Academy Studios at Sky Studios Elstree registered over 5000 young people within the first 48 hours of opening. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with students praising the interactive elements and real-world application of skills.

Sky’s investment in this educational initiative has sparked the imagination of thousands and helped them develop skills essential for the future of work in creative industries.
